When Molly contacted me to organize a couples photoshoot with her husband, Scott and their pet cat, Finn, I didn’t have to think twice about my answer. Couples photoshoots are one of my favorite sessions to do. I enjoy getting to know the couple and ability to be really creative shooting two people with a story. I love photographing animals also, so booking a 2-hour couples session with a cat was purrfect!
Molly and Scott wanted to capture photographs for the holiday season using the beautiful scenery of Fort Lauderdale, so they chose Hugh Taylor Birch State Park for their first location and the beautiful golden sands of Fort Lauderdale Beach during sunset.
I’ve never done a photoshoot with a cat before. Having worked with many couples and their dogs during previous sessions I figured ‘what could be difficult about this….?!’ I was so excited!
I recently developed a new package within my couples & engagement section – The Stylish Collection. Molly chose this package and organized for the very talented Tracie Rosales to have her hair & makeup done for the shoot (@makeupbytracie)
They wanted to include their adorable cat, Finn, who, despite being a house cat, seemed to love the sounds, smells and sights during the photoshoot. A little nervous at first, he soon settled down and seemed to love the attention!
