Red and gold was the inspiration for this stunning Indian wedding styled photoshoot. Lots of sparkle and glam certainly hit the mark with South Asian Brides magazine, who chose to feature this Indian wedding photoshoot. This online publication is North America’s leading bridal resource for South Asian brides and provides two print / digital issues a year, a daily blog, and high-end wedding shows to help brides find the perfect vendor for their wedding.

I teamed up with the talented event planner, Kelly, from Kelly Doss Events. We wanted to focus on a multitude of décor elements, including bright, vibrant florals, modern centerpieces and tablescapes, bridal jewels accented with gold, and beautiful doe-eyed makeup with a complimentary traditional Indian hairstyle.

However, it wasn’t all plain sailing. Everything was set for the shoot. All the vendors were chosen, and the venue was confirmed. Then Hurricane Irma hit. Delays ensued, and we ended up rescheduling again for late November. That day there were heavy rains but that didn’t stop us creating this beautiful modern Indian Wedding.

The venue chosen was a luxury villa, situated on an 8-acre estate in Parkland, South Florida. The Hacienda De Las Palmas, was the ideal tranquil retreat for this photoshoot with it’s lush, tropical gardens and modern interior.

The current trend at many Indian weddings is to have a combination of traditional and modern themes. It was important for me to retain the tradition and cultural aspects of the décor, but also include some modern twists in the wedding cake, table décor, and florals.
