When I first met Paola + Kristian I knew I wanted to photograph their wedding. Paola is a gorgeous, petite Columbian-native with an infectious smile. And Kristian is a tall, handsome American with a sharp sense of humor. They are clearly in love with each other.
The couple have been together for 4-years after meeting in the workplace. At the end of 2017, they organized a couple’s photoshoot. Paola didn’t realize that her life would change after this session. This was when the surprise proposal took place. According to Paola, it was one of the most romantic days of her life.
Their wedding at the Fort Lauderdale Historical Society was beautiful. Their theme was modern romantic with hues of whites and purples in their wedding details, flowers, and grooms’ accessories. The venue, for any event but particularly weddings, is one of my favorite. So much old charm, history, and character.
The day began with a tearful First Look on the veranda of the historical building. Kristian couldn’t take his eyes of his bride. Immediately after the First Look we took lots of fun, intimate family portraits, which was then proceeded by their personal and romantic ceremony. Nearly everyone cried. Their vows were so heartfelt.
The evening ended with lots of Latin dancing, bubbly and singing. You couldn’t help but get swept up in the fun with the wedding guests.
Paola + Kristian; thank you for booking me as your wedding photographer at the Fort Lauderdale Historical Society. I’m so thankful to have met you both and I wish you luck and happiness in the future.
