As a family photographer in Fort Lauderdale it’s important for me to keep pushing my creativity. Photography can become habit when you shoot at the same locations time after time. So, when you have a family keen to try somewhere different, that’s where the magic happens.
This couple didn’t want the typical beach sessions or a trip to the local park. So, I suggested one of my favorite spots that I don’t get a chance to visit for work too often. Las Olas Boulevard. I normally reserve this location for engagements or couples’ sessions. It’s one of my favorites as it has those beautiful hidden alleyways and unique architecture; I was so excited to work there again!
Their adorable little girl had just celebrated her first birthday. She was inquisitive, smiley, calm, and had these huge round eyes the color of melted dark chocolate. I knew she was going to be the perfect little girl to photograph.
We met at sunrise to avoid the human (and vehicle) traffic that swarm this popular location. We had the street pretty much to ourselves. Aside from the south Florida humidity, it was the ideal location and time of day to photograph this family.
Being a family photographer in South Florida is one of the best jobs ever. And seeing things with fresh eyes helps me create everlasting memories for my clients.
