Fort Lauderdale Intimate Church Wedding

Anne + Geir’s Fort Lauderdale intimate wedding was perfect. They traveled all the way from their home country of Norway to tie the knot here in the sunshine state. They flew with their two young daughters to celebrate their love on the beach. However, the typical Floridian summer had other ideas and the storms meant the couple put Plan B into action; The Norwegian Seamen’s Church.

Anne + Geir have been engaged for exactly one year to the date of their ceremony. Geir proposed at their home when Anne returned with their newborn daughter. I knew this was going to be a tearjerker of a wedding…

The couple celebrated with their family and a few close friends. I love to capture intimate weddings. Every detail was considered. The flower girls looked adorable with their babies breath and white roses floral crowns, and Anne’s bouquet was stunning. Both were from Ann’s Florist in Fort Lauderdale; rather aptly named I thought! Geir helped Anne get ready at the church – this is the first time I’ve captured this, so it was a nice, unique change for me!

Tea and a Norwegian favorite, waffles, were served after the ceremony.

We managed to take a few intimate wedding photographs in between the rain showers, and I left them and their family to celebrate their honeymoon in Miami.
