This classic wedding at the Ancient Spanish Monastery in Miami was breathtaking.
Michelle + Anthony are a beautiful couple. I first met them for their Miami engagement photoshoot at Matheson Hammock Park earlier this year. I loved their sense of adventure and fun, but most of all, I loved how they obviously loved each other.
They met in high school at the age of 16. During their sophomore year they began dating and attended the winter formal dance together. Sparks flew and from there they became inseparable.
Both Michelle + Anthony are very close with their families, so it was no surprise that Anthony proposed in front of his whole family on Christmas morning 2016. The romantic guy he is, he tied the engagement ring to the tree like an ornament.
The couple were due to get married at a little church in south Miami. Unfortunately, the venue suffered severe roof damage as a result of hurricane Irma. They received a call a few weeks before their ceremony to say they had to cancel their nuptials. This didn’t deter them! They used family members homes and organized an intimate backyard to create a wedding they would never forget.
But, they still wanted bridal images they wouldn’t forget. Between us, we chose the Ancient Spanish Monastery in Miami for the wedding photoshoot. They are both lovers of Game of Thrones, and Anthony was so excited to do the photoshoot at the monastery as he felt like he was in the show!
Their First Look at the Ancient Spanish Monastery was adorable. Anthony donned a blindfold in his favorite team colors. The big reveal brought tears to everyone’s eyes!
Despite the initial disappointment of not being able to use their local church for their ceremony, I think we can all agree that these wedding photos from the Ancient Spanish Monastery are absolutely beautiful.
